IKO Level 2 Course

Time to fly wet! REQUIRED IKO LEVEL 1 , learn more advanced and dynamic kite flying, practice drills that will build your way up to waterstarting and your first attend to ride, After level 2 you are considered independent and you are permitted to rent out equipment in all Iko schools under supervision.

In course details:

F1 - Enter and exit the water independently and safely while controling the kite
F2 - Water re-launch the kite
F3 - Body drag downwind
F4 - Maintain corect kite position in the wind window
F5 - Change direction to the left and right while body dragging

G1 - Upwind body drag to recover board
G2 - Upwind body drag holding the board with one hand
G3 - Enter and exit at the same point while upwind body dragging

H1 - Know the power stroke for a water start
H2 - Know the safety rules and theory for water start
H3 - Can put the board on the feet and maintain the correct position for water start

I1 - Water start in both directions and ride a short distance
I2 - Come to a controlled stop
I3 - Understand weather forecast, tidal and wind effects
I4 - Determine the wind strength, direction and quality
I5 - Know the right of way rules
I6 - Know equipment set up and choice according to the water conditions
